A few updates from us starting off the year:
Play Dates Workshop
There will be a Play Dates Workshop on 24th January 2011. This workshop would be very beneficial for those using or wanting to use play dates to teach children with autism to interact with friends. Attendance is RM75/person. Dinner is provided. To register, please e-mail the completed registration form to autismmalaysia@gmail.com on or before Friday, 21st January 2011.
Social Skills Group
We are pleased to announce that we will be continuing to run social skills groups in 2011.The first social skills group in 2011 will be Teaching Social Skills through Stage Acting! This group for children ages 5 to 12 will run for 6 weeks and will start on 8th February from 4.00 to 5.30 pm. Prerequisites for the group are: cooperation, fluent communication (ability to answer questions, request, comment, engage in conversation) and willing to have FUN while learning. Sibling Fun Day
We will also be conducting a sibling fun day for children ages 8-13 who have siblings with special needs on 19th February. This will be an opportunity for brothers and sisters of children with special health needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational setting. Diagnostic & Developmental Assessments
EAP offers diagnostic and developmental assessments by EAP's Psychologist and clinician, Jochebed Isaacs. Please call 03 2094 0421 to set up an appointment or talk with an experienced professional about your child.
Lower Costs
Costs of EAP's services have decreased in 2011! Please call 03 2094 0421 to talk with a experienced clinician or to set up an appointment with your child to get individualised recommendations for your child's learning.
